the former Park Hotel, Art Deco style

  Shanghai Park Hotel(Guoji Hotel), a mansion of 22 storeys, designed by Hungarian architect Laszlo Hudec, built by Chinese Joint Savings Society in 1934, was a prime example of Art Deco architecture in Shanghai at the time, and known as "the tallest building in The Far East" until 1952. It remained the highest building in China till 1968, and in Shanghai till 1983.
