Shanghai Liuhe Road Antique Market is adjacent to Shanghai's Old City and Xintiandi(about 15 minutes by walk). The market is not very big, about 210 large or small stalls assembled along the both sides of a 200 meters long street. The stalls in the middle of the street mostly sell craftworks and old folk stuff, while genuine antiques are often found in the stalls on the street ends. In this market you can find chinaware, bronze ware, tin ware, jade articles, bamboo crafts, carpentry, four treasures of the study, paintings, calligraphy, birdcages, clothing, coins, cards of the 1930s, fans, lighters, Chairman Mao badges, etc. The market is known as "special, unique, strange, and rare", in here you can procure all kinds of antique crafts which you can not find elsewhere. Therefore, since the market was set up in 1986, it has been attracting more and more Chinese and foreign antique lovers to come for sightseeing and shopping.
