Shanghai Museum is a large Chinese ancient art & craft museum founded in 1952. The current museum building was built in 1996, whose architecture style symbolizes the ancient Chinese philosophy - "The sky is orbicular and the earth is square". With an exhibition space of around 12,000 square meters, Shanghai Museum exhibits more than a hundred thousand precious Chinese ancient cultural relics, among which are the most featured bronze ware, porcelain and pottery ware, calligraphy and brushwork. Owing to the plenty and rareness of the exhibits, Shanghai Museum takes a high reputation at home and abroad.
