The Minor East City Gate

This photo was taken around the last years of Qing Dynasty(1644-1911). The picture shows The Minor East City Gate, or The Gate of The Treasure Belt, (Chinese phonetic writing: Xiaodongmen, which is still in use in maps today), the closest gate to the docks of Huangpu River among all the city gates.
