Shanghai Longhua Temple

  Longhua Temple, according to legend was first proposed by Sun Quan during the Three Kingdoms period, the current building was reconstructed in Guangxu period Qing Dynasty. There have been several times of maintenance and renovation since Liberation. On every Chinese Lunar New Year's Eve, the believers and tourists will come and stay here all night, and they will strike the temple bell for 108 rings, so as to meet the New Year and pray for happiness.
